I have removed all credit cards, disabled apple pay and the 'double click for apple pay' in settings and it still pops up all the time. how do you stop apple pay from displaying! iphone6 v12.2

If you place your phone near the card reader it might pop up. What are the circumstances in which you get pop ups?
completely random. I’m not near any readers. It happens when I pick up my phone - it could be first thing in the AM when I wake up, at my desk at work... not every time, but often during the day. Could my Apple Watch have something to do w it?? I’m not touching it or anything on my phone when it happens.
If you turned it off for the watch too then it shouldn't Can you take a screenshot next time it happens so I can see what you are seeing? (please edit out any personal info)
