Question: Q: iCloud Notes very slow in web browser

I talked to apple support on twitter about this issue and ended up getting a call back from a senior advisor. He told me that the developers are aware of the issue and working on a fix. No timeline though unfortunately for how long it might take....

I've long been a user of Microsoft OneNote and icloud notes. I've given up and moved it all to OneNote. Folders are available in OneNote too. You snooze, you lose Apple.

If this is ever fixed, I hope someone posts something here so I can consider coming back. In the mean time, I've migrated to OneNote. I found that a copy / paste from Notes to OneNote from the iPhone to be the best way because it retains the line spacing. Doing so from the web removes all the blank lines in my notes. OneNote has some nice features, including better searching of notes.

Posting to track a response. Same problem here. Windows 10, checked all the major browsers. Notes are working with a few seconds delay wich makes them impossible to use. Hope this will be fixed.

Same here, bold A and really slow web based notes. I've had to take my notes elsewhere until it's fixed.

I'm seeing this problem being mentioned in Macs and Windows PC's. But it's just as bad in Firefox running in Ubuntu. Though having no problem with Notes in IOS apps on portable Apple devices. Can't wait to see this one fixed.

I have the same issue for a while. I am convinced Apple is doing this on purpose for non-Mac users. I don't expect Apple will resolve this problem since it is not a problem to them, this issue achieved their goal.

I don't know what Apple would get from doing this deliberately. It's not as if any of us would switch to a Mac solely to get Notes to work. After a frustrating month with Notes, I switched to OneNote and I like it much better. If Notes was fixed tomorrow, I would not return. If you migrate, do it on the iPhone because the 'copy' from Notes and the 'paste' to OneNote retains formatting. That was not the case for me in Windows.

I read most of the notes here and seems Microsoft Onenote is the one to be used. I used One note before, I think I will try to use it again. After all, I have Windows, Mac, iphone, ipad and Android phone. Onenote allows me to use on all my devices.

Goodbye Apple Notes.

Just had to agree and say I am experiencing the same turd ... Used to be quick'ish to load 'n' sync.....

But I've noticed over the last 4-6 months its taking a lot longer.....

All - I think I found a temporary solution other than One Note.

Create a new note, and copy and paste everything from the old/crashing note into the new note (you may have to copy and paste piece by piece as I have noticed large copy/paste requests make the icloud crash).

I was having an issue with my work notes crashing like everyone else is saying, so I copied and pasted it into a new note and now no crashing or slow typing! Hope this helps for in the mean time.
