Can i reinstall Mac OS over the top using Restart while holding down CMD + R without affecting my files and data?

While it is true if everything works perfectly, you can reinstall the operating system without effecting your data. But if anything goes wrong during the process, you can lost everything. Hence the reason why I always suggest backing up before under taking anything like that.


Old IT saying: It alway better to have a backup and not need it then to need a backup and not have it.
