I'm trying to use my Polar h10 heart rate monitor with my Apple watch series 4 and it does not stay connected. I'm able to connect on my watch bluetooth, but as soon as I'm leaving the bluetooth settings it disconnects. It only stays connected when I'm in the bluetooth settings.
Any advice.

The Apple Watch does support external heart monitors. Forget yours in the Settings, reset the polar heart rate monitor and make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices (like your iPhone) within range and set it up again.

I have used my polar H10 HR monitor for years with all of my Apple Watches. I do have to go into settings each time and connect it but then it works fine. My watch is a Series 3 though so maybe they changed something with the 4.
Thank you deggie for your answer. I did exactly what you suggested, unfortunately it did not work. I think the only way to use my Polar monitor is through my iPhone with Polar Beat and using my watch as a remote.
I do not believe that the Apple Watch supports other heart rate monitors.
