Installing Facebook and Messenger on Imac

Hi, as the title says, I can't figure out how to install facebook or Messenger on my iMac, bought in late 2017. Can anyone help?

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.14

You navigate on your web browser to Facebook.com, just like a PC.
