My ipad mini and iPhone 8 have problems with syncing - when I delete emails from the iPhone 8 it does not delete off Ipad mini

Contact the mail provider and ask them how to set up the account as exchange.

What type of mail accounts do you have? If they set up as exchange, they would sync. If they are POP accounts, they won't.
Think that one or other is a POP account -how do I find the settings to have a look for the Exchange
