I need to transfer a large MOV file (a home video recording) to a Google Drive. Help please

Hello. Thank you! I recorded three videos in my classroom using my iPhone. I have downloaded them into Photos. I need to transfer them to my Google Drive so that I can share them with a co-worker. I do not have access to iCloud. They range in size from 6.22 GB to 17 GB. I tried moving them directly with the drag and drop technique I use for every other file going into my Google Drive, but it didn't register the action. I tried dragging them out of Photos onto my desktop and the computer just seem to heat up with little progress. I tried locating the files using Get Info, but when I searched for the file names in Finder, they were not found. Is there another solution to share these files with my co-worker so she can help me become a better teacher? I do have have access to iCould - there was a strange problem with a foreign phone that was plugged into my iMac years ago that prevents my iCloud from working properly. I'm using OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5 on my 2009 iMac. Thanks in advance.
