Receiving silenced texts on my Apple Watch 4

I have a group chat that I have silenced on my iPhone, however I’m still receiving the notifications on my Apple Watch. I have toggled back and forth between hide alerts and show alerts, turned my phone and watch off and on. Nothing is working.
