hp psc 1315 how to clean printer head?

Hi,
I have at least 20% ink left in my black catridge, but the printer prints cropped lines of text. I wonder if the printer head needs to be cleaned. So how do that do that in mac snow leopard? Thank you.

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

The printer is not connected with wireless, I just figured out that I must go to Printer & Faxes>then choose my printer>options$supplies>utilities>open printer utility. I clean the printer head from there.

Before I figure that out, it was confusing for me because I cannot go directly to printer settings from the print menu.
