i cant update my I pad as I wS directed to my passwordwas rejected so I changed it I got the same result. The support person suggested I change it again so I did and same outcome. It asks for my iCloud password. Isn’t it the same for Apple ID?

Unless you have 2 Apple IDs, the iCloud password should be the same as your Apple ID password.
