That is another problem/issue.
Try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

Do you have a different charge cable and Apple power block you can try?
MichelPM, another power block made the difference the iPad got charged. Now it does not recognize my 4 digit access code, any ideas? Thanks
