Got a new stand to charge both my iPhone and Apple Watch last night, Apple Watch was charging last night/green charging light/clock was green, now this morning is completely dead, while still on the charger?!? Forced a restart took the charger out of the stand and it is taking forever to charge.
Well it is advisable as third party chargers might not work correctly. If not designed and approved to work with Apple products you can run in to issues. Try your original charger and see if that works. If not get back to Apple and have them look at it as it is still under warranty
Well out of 900 + reviews and only 3 saying it wasn’t charging you can now make it 4 ! The only thing it might be that the charger might have come lose from the back of the Watch or come lose.
Yes the phone charged. I did force a restart, took the charger off the stand and the watch is now slowly charging. I do not have another Watch charger. I don’t understand how it was 75% charged, while on the stand last night, when I went to bed and this am was dead. It was still attached to the charger. Thanks for your help. Of the 900+ reviews on the stand there were three complaints of the Watch not charging.
I have see my Watch run of battery overnight but that’s wearing it. See how it goes and report back.
Which Apple approved model of stand are you using? Also you don’t say what model of Watch you have? As it sounds like a battery issue. I would try the original charger that you have and see if that works.
I AM using the original Apple Watch charger. Both the Apple Watch and charger are only 4 months old it was placed on a stand that held both the original Apple Watch charger and the Apple Watch. It was charging when I went to bed but completely dead when I woke up
Ok I see. Can you try another charger? Also does iPhone charge? Just to rule out sockets. I would suggest you try a reset press the crown and side button in until Apple logo appears. If still having issues unpair your Watch and repair it. Lastly if you Watch still does not charge take back to the Apple Store for them to examine as it is still under warranty.
I’ll give it another chance tonight just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. I don’t understand how it went from 75% charged at 10 pm ish to dead in 8 hours without it being used at all during those 8 hours?
It’s a series 3, using the original Apple charger, watch is only 4 months old. It’s a metal stand that holds a watch and phone, I am unaware that you had to use an Apple approved stand?
