Problem to connect apple watch

I brought a apple watch second hand and while i try to pair with my phone it says activation lock

iPhone XS Max, iOS 12

You will need the contact the person who has the Activation Lock and get them to clear it. If you don't know who that person is then return the Watch and get your money back.
