Keep original audio in iMovie

Yesterday I babysat a friend’s puppy. I took several videos on my iPhone and now want to combine them into a short movie for my friend. I want to keep the original audio of what I said to the puppy and the puppy barking etc. but I can’t see how to do this. It seems I have a choice between a silent movie or pre-recorded themes. Surely it must be possible. Does anyone know how?

iMovie I have two videos on my iPad, iMovie. I need to use the audio from one to replace the audio on the other. How can I copy and insert the audio from one to replace the audio on the other without losing it? I tried and it's not working for me. What am I missing? Thanks!

Detach Audio From Separate Video Hey guys. I'm creating a video in iMovie for a school project. I used an image as a placeholder so I could record voiceovers. I now want to replace that image with legitimate images for the project. However, it's exceedingly annoying to go and attach the audio to a different clip, and it messes everything up when I delete the original image. Is it at all possible to detach the audio entirely without messing everything up? Thanks, Christian.
