I have paid this month for iTunes however iTunes won’t let me access my music

I presume you have a subscription to Apple Music. What exactly happens when you try to play something, or select something new to add to your iCloud Music Library? See Get help with iCloud Music Library - Apple Support and try some of the troubleshooting steps offered there.
