Photos send in message blurry

I have an iPhone XS, just got it a month ago. Over the past few weeks, anytime I send photos in a message (to people who have the same phone as me), my photos are sending all blurry and small. Same with videos, they will send really blurry and much smaller. Same goes with photos and videos people send me. But sometimes they send fine, other times it sends blurry. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
