I just updated to OS 10.14.4 and my dock disappeared. how can I get it back. The dock setting for hiding / unhiding it is not checked,
Also, the yellow minimizing buttons don't function

Is it in Full Screen mode? control+CND+ f keys?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
After trying these suggestions and my own, I called Apple Support. Was on the phone with them for 1 hour 26 minutes. Tried many options. Ended up having to re-install Mojave OS in its entirety. Fixed the problems.
