Calling Emergency Services with Side Buttons

So, Apple... what is the justification for locking up my iPhone X after I mistakenly called Emergency Services with the side buttons? Once I pulled over my motorcycle and realized what I had done, my phone was a brick. Of course there is a button-pushing sequence that is required to unlock the phone but I didn’t know what that was, and my phone was a brick so I couldn’t look up what the button-pushing sequence was... and I’m pretty sure most people aren’t born with the knowledge... So, I rode my motorcycle the rest of the way home with no phone!!

Your bizarre emergency-services logic actually made me less safe!! What’s up???
