Replacement for Damaged phone

if i pay for replacement fee for my iphone, will i get it same day in the store?

Can I return the replacement phone without out being charged a fee? My original device no longer needs to be replaced. I want to immediately return the replacement when I receive it. I hope there isn’t a fee charged since I won’t do anything with the sent replacement other the immediately mail it back. I repaired my original device and no longer require a replacement. Will i be charged?
