Apple Watch Series 4 - Screen Damage

I bought an Apple Watch Series 4 two weeks ago for the total cost of 488 euro.

I dropped the watch and broke the screen and took it to apple service to change the screen.

They told me that they cannot change it and the only solution is to get a replacement for the price of 380 euro!!! I find it unacceptable to pay 78% of the price of a new watch for a replacement. Apple should be in a position to change the screen for a fraction of the cost. If they have technical difficulties to change the screen then they should offer a replacement again at a fraction of the cost and not 78% of the cost of a new watch. When the windscreen of my car needs replacement the cost of a new windscreen is maybe less than 3% of the cost of the car not 78%!!! This is unacceptable, I have been an Apple fun for many years. I will think twice before purchasing another Apple product again.
