I have a . MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018).
The keyboard started to insert full stops when I press the space bar. I do not know how to solve this but it is actually pretty annoying.
I already checked the input sources in the keyboard system preferences and there is nothing . wrong there.
If someone could please help me it would be really appreciated.

Check this: System Preferences, select the Keyboard tab. Click on the Text tab at the top. On the right side there are three options, the last one is insert period with doublespace - which mimics iOS. I think you have that option checked.
