I went to a website called earth911 and a got a message that a Flash Player update was required. The download warning message that appeared said it was "Player_690" and it was downloaded from popalwaysbestappclicks.top. Wondering if this legitimate

It's not. A legitimate Flash Player update message will be in a standalone application or System Preferences; it should only be downloaded from System Preferences or manually visiting Adobe's website.
