how can I unlock my phone if I forgot my password and it wont let me use touch id without the password entered first?

i cant unlock my iphone because i forgot the password and it wont let me use touch id unless i enter in the password first

I forgot my password but can get in with Touch ID Recently, I changed my phone password as my mom kept taking it and using it without my permission. However, I forgot the password I chose and can only get in with Touch ID. I was curious if there is a way to reset it without losing my phone's data, such as photos and passwords. I was planning on saving it onto my laptop, however to allow access I need to use my password.

phone wont unlock when i try to unlock my phone it says " your password is required to enable Touch ID" what password is this because ive tried my 6 digit that usually unlocks my phone and my apple id password.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
