Safari and Microsoft OneDrive

A group of us at church are trying to share a file via the Microsoft Onedrive. This has been done by sending out a sharing link to the cloud folder with the file. Anyone with the link should be able to access the folder to look at the file. Some people are getting an error message along the lines of

"Safari cannot establish a secure connection to the server".

I know that this has happened on someone's iPhone, but I think also I'm hearing that iPad , and Macbooks have experiences the same problem.

Interestingly, I've never had the problem on my iPad Pro. However, I also have a Microsoft personal account and so Safari opens the link with me as a logged-in user.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I had found the explanation on the Apple website before I posted the question. What is interesting is that I've never experienced the problem but I know of multiple other folk who have - even though we are accessing the same Onedrive folder or file.
