My Outdoor Run App just randomly quits during a run. Last night it stopped enough times that it came out 2.5 miles shy of what my Garmin had. Ideas?

Ok the good news you can turn it off the bad news I can not do anything about the snow! Go to Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Then workout. Then switch off press to pause. Also if still issues running auto pause
When you quit do you mean the Watch paused? As this can happen with pressing the crown and side button at the same time. I would suggest you reset your Watch. Press the crown and side button in until the Apple logo appears. Also Check your Watch is updated to 5.2 and your iphone is running ios 12.2
It paused and I had to enter my code too. I was wearing a jacket because even though it's May it's also Wyoming so, you know, snow . . . but it's never been a deal before. I'm on WatchOS 5.2 and my phone is 12.2. It's pretty maddening. I'll try the reset although I power it completely down once or twice a week before I charge it. Thanks.
I've been wearing my Garmin on the other side but that was the problem with the Garmin before I switched. Hopefully it will warm up soon here and I'll have forgotten all about it until this fall. Thanks!
