iPad getting locked
My child entered the wrong passcode locking the iPad there should be a way of additional attempt for entering correct passcode.

There always are additional attempts offered, until they are used up. Unfortunately, your child kept trying. You are going to need to erase, then restore your iPad using the latest version of iTunes (v12.9.x) on your home computer, by following the directions in this link EXACTLY: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
