How many eSims can be saved in iPhone XR?

Thanks. I also saw this documentation. I posted this thread to confirm it. I have visited all iPhone vendors in my locality. All report only 1 esim can be saved. I also know only 2 (1 nano and 1 esim) network can be used at a time. But what I am interested in knowing is how many esims can be stored in iPhone XR (XS or XS Max). I am using 4 sims now from two carriers which support esim. Now I want to convert all the 4 sims to esim. One of the vendor (Airtel) may not be supporting prepaid. If so, I will be using 3 esims. Perhaps at least 4 esims will be supported if not more.

Yes indeed but I am exploring the possibility of using esim to avoid the pathetic customer support system of the network carriers in this side of the world. I visited the office of two carriers which are known to support esim. They denied supporting esim in our locality citing vague reasons.

Is it really so. I have been dying to know about it since a long time ago. Now I can make a informed decision about purchasing an iPhone with esim capability. The industry should adopt it and abandon physical sims altogether though there are some advantages associated with it. But the advantages of esim will far outweigh the archaic technology associated with physical sim. Thanks to all who bothered to enlighten me. I am nowhere from a remote place. The curiosity though know about it led me to expose myself to uncharted territory. It's indeed a marvellous space to seek and share knowledge. Hope to get more information in the days to come.
