I have the new MacBook Pro and the fan started to run loudly and I don't know what to do. I have booked an appointment with the Genius Bar but is there anything I can do at home?

The fan(s) run loud when the CPU/GPU is under a load to keep your Mac cool.
If you think it is out of control you can Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
for thermal management.
