Did you contact the carrier for the phone, tell them you want a new number and get a new SIM card from them as I said you should do? The phone number is on the SIM card. So unless you change the SIM card you cannot change the number.

To change your phone number you need to contact your carrier, have them issue a new number and a new matching SIM card.

What are you trying to do? What do you mean by change your phone number? Change it from what to what?
