Apple Watch series 4 without iPhone

I would like to use an Apple Watch. I have an iPad mini 3 and MacBook Pro from 2012 but my phone is a blackberry classic. I am nearly always on WiFi at home or school, would I be able to use an Apple Watch? I have audible books and Spotify I like to download and listen to in the car over Bluetooth from my ipad
