iPhone 5SE no longer storing any notifications

Hello,

The other day I cleared my old notifications on my phone. I presumed this would just clear my old notifications and not auto-clear new ones. But now whenever I get new notifications they aren’t bring stored, so when I swipe down from the top of the screen it just says “no older notifications” even though I definitely had some recent ones.

Any idea why this happened and how I can get my iPhone to start saving old notifications again? I’m on a 5SE model.

That screen does not archive notifications, but notifications will appear there until you look at the content. For example, you get a text message and do not take the time to look at it. That notification will appear on the notification screen. But once you view the text message, the notification disappears. Also, check your Notification settings to make sure they are configured to stay there, Alerts set for Notification Center, The Banner Style is Persistent as well.

You can take a look at this support document regarding notifications, Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support and you will see this tells you that you can see the Notifications that you have missed. Once you have taken a look at the content, then the notification disappears from that screen.

Not true. The old notifications stayed stored even after looking at them and pressing them. Now there are none being stored at all. This has only started happening after I cleared my old ones a few days ago.
