When I use the AirPods, I keep losing the connections

I am having trouble with my AirPods. When I use them, I keep losing the connections. I try to update them, I could not find how to update the firmware. Could you please help me?

My AirPods are getting frequently disconnected...what to do AirPods gen 1 are getting disconnected frequently I have AirPods gen 1 and the firmware is 6.8.8. Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I have done it multiple times. It did not help. I would like to update the Firmware, but I could not find how. Appreciate any help on that. There were a couple of Online videos but they were not useful.
