RTT/ phone over keyboard

So every time I receive a call the rtt symbol pops up where mute should be. RTT/TTY is turned off in settings but it’s making it so I can’t use my headphones. HELP!

Hi there Biniosh,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand your incoming calls are showing the RTT symbol and it’s causing issues using your headphones. I’ll be happy to help with this.

If you’ve turned off Software RTT/TTY in but are still seeing the option appear, go to Settings > General > Software Update and see if any updates are available. If there are, back up your iPhone, download and install the update, and see if that helps:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once you’re up-to-date, if you still see the issue, go back to Settings > General > Accessibility > RTT/TTY, and turn on both Software RTT/TTY and Hardware TTY, then restart your iPhone:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Go back to the Accessibility Settings and turn both of those features back off. See if that has any impact on this issue.

If not, restore your iPhone to factory settings and test while in that state. If your calls come in as expected, restore your backup to your iPhone and test once more. This can resolve your issue or indicate if something in the software is causing this.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Best wishes.
