iWatch S1 screen popped out

My Apple Watch series 1 screen popped out. When I came to the Apple Store, they said that the battery was swollen (something about a chemical product in the battery that was released) and it caused the screen to pop up. They said battery problem was reoccurring and Apple granted an extra year warranty which expired for me two months ago. I called the apple support and there’s nothing they can do because the “apple courtesy warranty” expired. I should be less careful with my Apple Watch and would be among those lucky ones whose battery popped up a couple of months ago. Anybody here who had the same problem? What did you do?

Same thing happened to me literally. I took my Apple Watch to Batteries Plus Bulbs. They told me they would replace the battery and the force touch sensor for about $39.99. I should be getting a call tomorrow to pick up my Apple Watch ⌚️. They immediately saw my battery was indeed swollen and explained when they replace the battery they will replace the force touch sensor free. I’ll keep you posted!
