Hey Guys and Gals. No matter what file size, resolution, or master or publishing format i try to export out of FCPX, its taking FOREVER! (like only on 40% and its been 3 hours) Im using a ssd and theres over 400 gigs available. Its a 7 min video
Ive never had this problem when exporting a file that the original footage is 1080... any help here?
also it takes forever to render and transcode into proxy..

What are the complete system specs? How much free space on the system drive? You’re project is 4K, and you’re scaling up the HD? That takes quite a bit of processing, especially if you’d added effects and other stuff.
What’s the graphics capability? How much free space on the system drive? What effects are applied?
So, i got off the phone with customer support. They basically said im doing everything right and its just 4k. it takes that long? Kind of annoying that that is the solution
My specs are: Macbook Pro 13 2017
Processor: 2.5 GHz intel core i7
mem: 16 GB
The footage is in 4k.. I was exporting a master file of the project in 4k and it ended up only getting to 43% after 5 hours.. I stopped it, probably shouldnt have.. I tried to export in 1080 and it was the same.. just takes a long time..
Any suggestions?
Over 300+ free space on my Samsung t5 external hard drive
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB
Just some basic color correction. and a LUT. Its a multi cam edit so that may not be helping? (exporting as web hosting 1920x1080)
This last try, i started to export at 330am and its 230 pm-- it got to 76% and gave me this error : "video rendering error: -50"
Super frustrating.. not sure what to do, this project needs to be turned into the client asap.

Pleae don’t ignore this question; it can be hugely important to performance.
You have very limited capabilities with integrated graphics, which will effect effects processing.
The system is having difficult processing the media. Some of it may be corrupted and have damaged frames. The error message and the speed point to that.
