Forget my passcode

Hello,

I forget my ipad passcode but I login using my Face ID. Any idea if I can change my passcode while I’m still login using my icloud ID?

If you forgot your passcode, you have erase/restore the iPad using the latest version of iTunes (v12.9.x) on your home computer by following the directions in this link EXACTLY: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

Yes, even if you have access through FaceID. If you turn your iPad off, you will need to enter your passcode when you turn it on. If you update iOS, you will need to use your passcode to start the iOS download. All iOS devices which use FaceID must have a remembered passcode or you'll wind up locking yourself out very quickly.

...even if i still have access to my ipad through FaceID? I mean i am opening my ipad now and i can enter settings and i also remember my iCloud id and password.
