My iwatch 2 crown does not respond
Apple Watch, watchOS 4
I held them both in for some time and display went black but when I release my fingers it shows power off and SOS emergency and I am afraid if I manually power off, since the crown is not working, I won't get it back on.

yes crown does not respond or do anything at all. I'm sure I did this for at least 15 secs. I think I need to take it in.
Use (link) Contact Support to setup your Genius Bar appointment and avoid having to wait for a spare slot. A Series 4 should still be in warranty, so you could be in and out with an exchange watch reasonably quickly. One suggestion, make sure you unpair your existing watch and remove from your Apple ID before you take it in, so you have the backup available on your iP{hone ready to setup the replacement.
I would suggest you reset your Watch. Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears. Also Check your Watch is updated to 5.2 and your iphone is running ios 12.2.
I get option to power off or emergency...it does not turn off by itself. Do I hit power off? Thanks.
Did you try Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears? You do it at the same time.
Yes I pressed them both at the same time and it does not power off unless I press power off-the crown is not responding or eliciting reaction.
You need to do for at least 15 secs. If this doesn’t work then your crown has issues. Does it not work at all?

Yes you are correct. You can either live with it or try and get it repaired at an Apple Store
Thank you!!!
