Apple TV and Two Factor Authentication

Where do you enter two factor authentication on Apple TV? I am trying to log-in and it is sending me information for two factor authentication but there is no place inside the Apple TV prompts to add the authentication. Why does Apple take delight in screwing their customers?

That is because you are using an older device and 2FA is optimized for newer software. When using 2 factor authentication on an older device you need to enter the password and code together, and there is a time limit. To make the best use of that time enter the password, then request the code, and then add it to the end of the password
