can't type password

I can't seem to type my password on my iPhone. It works fine on my desktop, so I know it's correct. The problem must be my 69 year old eyes and fingers. How do I get around the demanding password requirements and change my password to something I can type successfully? Has Apple heard of a law called the Americans with Disabilities Act? We older people need a few accommodations to use these devices successfully. At the very least, give us an option to see what we've typed. Thanks.

Update: after finally entering the password, Apple asks for my touch ID to install the app. Touch ID no longer works on my iPhone since I burned my thumb and forefinger a month ago. When it fails, I'm asked to enter my Apple password again. No more Apple devices for me. Ever.

By the way: I have larger text on, but the text in the password field is still far too small to read.

Update 2: The text in the App Store password field seems to be the same size, no matter what text size is selected in settings. Again: ADA!

Update 3: After I turned off touch ID for App Store, I finally got to the app install. Now it says: "Require password for additional purchases on this device?" I was really, really hopeful, until I found that there's no friggin' "NO" option!

Update 4: The Fire TV Remote App never installs. The App Store always comes back to asking for my Apple ID password again.

Update 5: Finally got the app installed after agreeing to the App Store requiring a password after 15 minutes.
