Delete e-mail account

I have been trying to delete an e-mail account from my IPhone. All the instructions online say: go to Passwords & Accounts, tap on the account to delete and then tap "delete account" at the bottom. The thing is I don't get the "delete account" option so I can't delete the account.

Removing email account from IOS13? I search and found this: To remove the account on your iPhone, tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove. Tap Delete Account except that the Delete Account button is not there... what should I do?

That could explain why you can't delete it.

In Settings>General, scroll all the way down. Do you have a section labeled Profiles? If so, what do you see listed there?

What type of account is it? gmail, yahoo, something else?
