I’ve just gotten this printer and want to try it out on my 2018 Mac. Its got a good reputation with Macs (much older Mac’s).
It’s no longer sold, and is obsolete, so, Canon’s not up for support :(
Any good usage and recommendations of setting this up with Mojave would be great. These drivers are old, so security might be a risk.
The last idea I have is to use it with a Virtual Machine.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it's not working as of yet off of OS X on this Mac, but I'll give it a few more tries. The Virtual Machine on here, though (Windows XP) --- Well.. it works, using the drivers made fo XP. My older Mac only goes up to Lion, so I'll try it on that Mac soon, and post back on here ASAP on how it works out. It might be more than a few days to get this up and going.
If you got that message it is 32 bit. When the next system comes around check to see if Canon has updated its drivers. If not you'll need to look for an alternative driver. The only one I know of is Gutenprint. You have plenty of time too try it out to see if it'll work with your current setup. It's a free, open source driver.
Thank you Old Toad! I got the Canon driver to install. All is operating as intended!

Got this error upon install. This must be 32bit software. How can I determined if it is?
