MOJAVE UPGRADE

Since I updated to MOJAVE the toolbars in MS Word and Powerpoint don't function properly-any ideas? Its V.15.24 in Office I work off.

some software icons are still showing on the doc bar after closing them We already know that pined items on the doc bar will stay there even after you close the application and on the right side you can see the open application but after I upgrade to the Mojave I can see some application in the middle. They do not close even after you close the application.

Your Office 2016 version is several years too old for Mojave. Use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get up to Office 2016 for Mac v16.25 (May 14, 2019). You may need to download an update to AutoUpdate as several updates have occurred to it after your version of Office.
