Just picked up my apple watch today and was excited to try the ECG app. It is nowhere to be found. The launch presentation sure promoted that feature. So where is the app? That feature is one of the key ones of why I bought the watch. Previous post from another customer asked the same question in 9/18.
Answer was “it’s coming later in the year with an update”. It is now May 2019 so where is the app?

I suggest you check and update software versions in your iPhone and Apple Watch, because there was a new release in the last week. You should have iOS 12.3 and WatchOD 5.2.1 as a matching pair. Then follow the ECG setup instructions in Taking an ECG with the ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4 - Apple Support
And just to dot the i’s And cross the t’s...
iPhone is US purchased?
Region codes are US based?
Your Apple ID is US based?
Nothing that would make the software think you were in Canada, Mexico, or some other country where ECG is not approved.
Thanks Branta. I’ve updated per your suggestion. Everything is US based.
Apple Care to call soon today Otherwise I’ll spend another $100 for the Kardia EKG gadget. Annoying, but doable to get what I want.
