  1. If you have iCloud Music Library with iTunes Match or Apple Music disconnect from the Internet.
  2. Close iTunes. Press and hold down option as you launch iTunes again. Keep holding until asked to choose or create a new library. Click choose and select the most recent file in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder.
  3. Select the playlist in question. Use File > Library > Export Playlist... to export an XML playlist.
  4. Close iTunes, reconnect to the Internet if you disconnected at step 1.
  5. Press and hold down option as you launch iTunes again. Keep holding until asked to choose or create a new library. Click choose and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the main iTunes folder.
  6. Use File > Library > Import Playlist... to import the list you made.

Or restore a recent version of the iTunes Library.itl file from Time Machine backup if you have it set up to include the iTunes Library. Again if you have iCloud Music Library you will need to disconnect from the Internet, export the list, then reconnect before importing otherwise the current state of your iCloud Music Library will overwrite the restored copy of the database.
