No Audio when streaming from iPad Pro camera

I want to use the 2017 iPad Pro to stream live video from one location (garage) to my living room TV. I can get video using screen share or Airplay but no audio. I’m using 2nd gen Apple TV to use it’s Airplay. All software is current iteration. Even using an app like Reflector 3 it still doesn’t happen. I’m positive my old iPad mini used to do it. This iPad Pro has been a lemon from day one so I’m thinking this is another previously unused glitch showing up and it’s no longer covered by Apple.

So any suggestions more than welcome. TIA

Thanks for posting to the Apple Support Communities. I understand audio is not streaming from your iPad when using AirPlay. You've reached the right place for help.

Here are some steps that can help: If you can't use AirPlay or mirror your device's screen - Apple Support

Specifically,

If you don't hear audio when streaming video from your iOS device or Mac to your Apple TV, make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted on both your iOS device and your television or receiver.

If you're streaming video from an iPhone or iPad, check the Ring/Silent switch. If it's set to silent, you'll see an orange line. Toggle the switch to turn on the ringer.

I get audio in pre-recorded videos streamed from the iPad Pro using Screen mirroring. I don't get audio if I'm using the camera to stream video across wi-fi to my Apple TV. Everything is on the exact same settings in both cases. But as soon as I turn the camera on the audio is gone. If I record the video there is audio in the recording but not on the stream. I can stream audio from iTunes to my audio amp or any of my Macs. I can't stream audio if I turn on the video camera.

Mmmmmm Apple support told me they had no idea and didn't understand how it all worked. That was about a year ago when I first noticed the problem. Right now I have to use a wifi mike to connect to my audio amp to provide sound with the streamed video and it is in sync which is amazing.

Hope this makes things clearer.
