Seperate unknown albums for non-album-related songs rather than just one

Hi guys!

Does anyone else experience that songs with no album-connection seems to be divided into separate "unknown albums" rather that just one "unknown album" gathering all non-album-related songs?

Anyone with a fix to this annoying issue?

Thanks!

Like any collection if it starts small, and well organized, and you're careful how you add each new item then it doesn't seem like a lot of effort. If on the other hand you start with a large disorganized set of items then it can be difficult to know where to start. Apple cannot supply the missing metadata. You can select all of the items with no album title and assign the title Unknown Album. Repeat with Unknown Artist and Unknown Album Artist. This will merge those items into perhaps a smaller number of albums where at least one of the three main details is present, along with a single album where they were all blank. You can then focus on the rest of the library for things like missing artwork for example, or inconsistencies caused by missing album artist. See Grouping tracks into albums for the kinds of things I'm referring to. Then, if you choose, you can select tracks where you have some information and look to fill out what is missing over time.

Thank you for your reply and effort, tt2.

I must admit that with +7000 songs it seem like an impossible to task to go through each and add album details. I would have hoped that Apple - being acknowledged and chosen by many due to their "intuitive" ppraoch" - would have thought of a better solution to this issues, which I am clearly not the only one experiencing. No wonder services like Spotify etc. gain grounds...

But thank you anyway tt2, I really appreacite you effort and answers.

Thanks!
