After the update to 5.2.1, the move or exercise doesn't work

I updated my apple series 3 watch to 5.2.1 and now the 'move' or 'exercise' tracking doesn't work. Both were at zero after a 13+ mile bike ride. The watch tracked the activity and transferred it to my Iphone but the 'move' and 'exercise' are still at zero. What's up with the updates causing other things not to work? And how can this be fixed?
