Fusion Drive Failure Replace Only HDD

Hi. I’ve got a Fusion drive and the HDD component of it seems to have failed. The SSD component is still visable in diskutil, but has no corestorage volumes. Is it possible to just replace the HDD component and then rebuild the Fusion drive?

Remains of Fusion Drive Left Behind...? I recently replaced the 1TB Fusion Drive in my Late 2015 21.5" iMac with a 2TB SSD. It works great, but I've just noticed in Disk Utility that the 24GB SSD portion of the old Fusion Drive is still showing up. I'd assumed the SSD part would be a chip inside the regular spinning platter hard drive case that I removed, but it seems not. It's only 24GB so not huge, but my question is, as it's in there, can I use it? I've tried mounting it but I get a "Disk Management Dissenter Error 119930868". I'm guessing I can just reformat it, but I'm nervous to try in case it has somehow tied itself to the new 2TB SSD or does some other unexpected thing that brings the whole system crashing down. MacOS is Catalina. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice. :)

HDD of Fusion has Bad sectors and I want to replace it. How can I do that? I am getting messages that the number of SMART alerts is growing due to uncorrectable bad sectors on the HDD (2.0TB) portion of my Fusion drive. I would like to replace it with a new drive. I have seen comments in Apple Support to say this is not possible or it requires a technical expertise far beyond my own. Also, I have seen articles that the Fusion technology does not support replacing the HDD portion with an SSD drive. (The purpose of the Fusion is to move high access files from HDD to SSD for faster access. If both are SSD,.. why bother?) In any event, I need to address the HDD component and implement a replacement, preferably with another HDD. Can someone please point me to the instructions for making that happen and continue implementing the Fusion process correctly?
