MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 lid warp
So I’ve had my MacBook Pro for three months and I took my hard cover shell case off of the outside of my computer for the first time in that time span and I noticed a bit of warping on the top of the lid by the hinge. It doesn’t affect my usability or the display and if I hadn’t removed the case I wouldn’t have thought anything was wrong with the computer. The lid closes flush with the laptop and there’s no problem other than there being a bit of a sharper dip on the edge. I’ve read others have had problems with the bottom of the MacBook Pro becoming ‘wobbly‘ I suppose to the heat that the battery under load gives off warping the case. My only concern is having more problems over the course of time with the display. My question is mostly whether this is a mere cosmetic issue and there is nothing to worry about or should I bring it in and have it repaired as I still have my one year warranty.
As I was writing this the only thing I could think of is possibly since the hard shell case I have is covering the entire outside body, it may be when open, and the heat is coming off of it and getting trapped underneath the case heating it up a bit more than if it were naked and due to the low grade aluminum it seems they have used on the laptop, it’s warping. I’m just a bit stumped. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you!
