Damaged MacBook Air

Hi there!

So I’m wondering I just got a new MacBook for Christmas and have had it for about 6 months and my mom accidentally dropped my computer and as a result has a few scratches. I do have AppleCare for it but don’t know if they could fix it or if that would even be covered through AppleCare. Do I just have to deal with it or is it fixable? Any guidance would be so helpful!!
